A New Album

No overdubs. No edits. Just voice and piano—raw, real, and rooted in trust.

Recorded live at the historic Waldomore Library in Clarksburg, WV—where Meredith once played childhood piano recitals—this album captures the rare musical intimacy between vocalist Meredith Augustin and pianist Bob Thompson. In a single afternoon, the longtime collaborators revisited eight timeless jazz standards, each recorded in a single take.

It’s not just a recording. It’s a reunion. A homecoming. A conversation over three decades in the making. What you hear is exactly what happened.

“When she sings, I feel close to God.”

That’s how audiences describe Meredith Dean Augustin, a singer whose voice transcends genres — soulful, prayerful, and deeply human.

Born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia, Meredithfound her voice early, singing herself to sleep as a child and later singing her way into the hearts of audiences around the world. Now based in New York City, she serves as Director of Music at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi in midtown Manhattan, where she leads one of the most diverse and dynamic music ministries in the country.

A rare artist who bridges jazz, gospel, and sacred music, Meredith’s sound is also deeply shaped by her global collaborations — particularly her long-standing connection to Haiti. She has lent her voice to projects with celebrated Haitian artists Emeline Michel, BelO, Kreyol Alternative, and Arly Larivière, blending Caribbean rhythm and soul with her own unmistakable warmth. She has also collaborated with liturgical composers John Angotti, Tom Kendzia, Tony Alonso, and Chris de Silva, and shared stages with jazz luminaries Etienne Stadwijk, John Benitez, Dave Kikoski, and Axel Tosca, as well as the incomparable Patti LaBelle.

Her performances have graced venues from Mountain Stage to Good Morning America, and her voice continues to bring audiences to both tears and prayer.

Her new album, Just Me and Bob, marks a return to her roots — and a reunion with fellow West Virginian jazz legend Bob Thompson. Recorded live at the historic Waldamore Library in Clarksburg, the project strips everything down to its essence: voice and piano, heart and home. Each track unfolds like a conversation — warm, honest, and unadorned — reminding listeners that joy and grace often arrive in the simplest moments.
